How I first heard about Wounded Warrior Project.

The fist time I heard about the Wounded Warriors Project was when me and some friends decided to compete in tough mudder. Tough Mudder is also a non-profit organization that creates 10-12 mile obstacle courses designed by British Special Forces to test all around strength, stamina, mental grit, and camaraderie. Also all the proceeds go to the WWP and to-date at this second they have raised $2,283,721 for the WWP.

What also makes Tough Mudder so great is it really goes out of its way to get military personnel, cops, firefighters, and even wounded warriors themselves to come out and compete. And when you go to a tough Mudder event that what you see teams of Military personnel there wearing shirts to support friends who were wounded or died in action. But the real emotional motivation to finish the race is when you see a wounded soldier there competing with you in the race, and that just makes you want to finish even more.
